Empowering Women in Tech: Developer Academy Opens in Saudi Arabia

Apple has inaugurated its first all-women Developer Academy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aiming to empower women in technology and foster a new generation of female developers and entrepreneurs in the region.

The academy offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes coding, design, entrepreneurship, and professional skills. The program is free of charge and is designed to accommodate women of all experience levels, from those new to coding to seasoned developers.

“We are thrilled to welcome the first class of talented women to the Apple Developer Academy in Saudi Arabia,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Education and Enterprise Marketing. “By providing access to world-class educational resources, we’re empowering women to pursue careers in the app economy and contribute to the region’s future of innovation.”

The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan, which seeks to diversify the economy and increase women’s participation in the workforce. Graduates of the program will be equipped to develop cutting-edge apps for the App Store, contribute to the local tech ecosystem, and inspire future generations of women in technology.
